WE OFFER A COMPLETE ARRAY OF COURSES AND CERTIFICATIONS FOR DIFFERENT FIREARM TYPES AND NEEDS
THE CANADIAN FIREARMS SAFETY COURSE NON-RESTRICTED PAL $199 + GST
This 8-hour course allows the novice to get a non-restricted firearms license. This license allows the possession and acquisition of most hunting rifles/shotguns, etc.
We run this course on most SATURDAYS of the year.
THE CANADIAN FIREARMS SAFETY COURSE RESTRICTED PAL $175 + GST
This 4-hour add-on course, allows the enthusiast to upgrade their non-restricted license to include restricted firearms (handguns and some military-looking firearms.) This can be taken immediately after PASSING the Non-Restricted Canadian Firearms Safety Course so that you can apply for both classifications at the same time. We generally run this course on most Sundays of the year.
Please be aware - If you fail any course you will be required to pay FULL PRICE to retake the course and exam.
THE CANADIAN FIREARMS SAFETY COURSE COMBINED NR/ R PAL $299 + GST
We offer a combined NON-RESTRICTED AND RESTRICTED PAL course combo for a discounted price. To receive the combo discount both courses must be booked and paid for at the same time.

ADDITIONAL COURSES
Once you are licensed, you may choose to take an additional course to improve your marksmanship and handling skills.
If you would like to try some other disciplines in the practical shooting sports such as the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) which involves moving and shooting, you will need to take additional training. For this, we have designed:
BASIC HANDGUN COURSE
$125 + GST (Member Price: $100 + GST)
This 3-hour course is designed to take the novice and give them the basic marksmanship fundamentals associated with handgun shooting. Once you have this under your belt you should see a swift and steady improvement in your personal shooting skills and ability.
Pre-requisites: Must have Restricted PAL or successful completion of Restricted PAL examinations from either The Shooting Edge or Alberta Hunter Education Instructors' Association (AHEIA)
Supplies Required:
Handgun - autoloader or revolver (rentals available for $50 - ammo is extra)
- 2-3 magazines for autoloaders (3 preferred)
- At least one speedloader recommended for revolvers
- Eye and ear protection (provided if necessary)
- 150 Rounds of Ammunition
BASIC HOLSTER COURSE
$300 + GST (Member Price: $250 + GST)
This 6-hour course is designed to safely expose the student to the basics of practical shooting techniques using a holster.
Pre-requisites: Basic Handgun Skills Course and must have Restricted PAL or successful completion of Restricted PAL examinations from either The Shooting Edge or Alberta Hunter Education Instructors' Association (AHEIA)
Supplies Required:
Handgun (rentals available for $50 - ammo is extra)
- 3 Magazines
- Holster
- Mag Pouch
- 250 Rounds of Ammunition
GIRL POWER GUN CLUB
$65 + GST
The ultimate Ladies Night! Join us at our Women's Shooting League every 3rd Wednesday.
Open to women of all skills and abilities!
Price includes:
- Range pass and 50 rounds of .22 LR ($10 upcharge for 50 rounds of 9mm)
- Safety equipment and safety briefing
- Gun rentals and targets (note: participants cannot use their own firearms for this event)
- PLUS snacks and beverages, an engaging host/guest speaker, swag and achievement badges!
If participants wish to shoot more than the 50 rounds, additional ammo will be charged at member rates.
Youth under 18 must be accompanied by their (female) parent or legal guardian.
