When you first arrive at The Shooting Edge, you will need to fully complete our standard waiver. You will also need to bring along at least one piece of valid government-issued photo ID. Once the waiver is completed, your personal Range Officer will assist you in your selection of the appropriate firearm. They will also give you and your group a safety and handling briefing.
You do NOT need your Canadian Firearms license, or require any experience in shooting to shoot at The Shooting Edge. You will require government issued photo ID. We assign a Range Officer who will accompany you during your visit. They will walk you through your shooting experience, be with you while you shoot, and provide shooting instruction throughout.
Guests under 18 will require an adult to accompany them as well as provide a waiver signed by a parent/legal guardian (not a friend or family member who is not a legal guardian) over 18. The waiver is online and can be signed ahead of time. We require a phone number to contact the parent/legal guardian and confirm.
No. We require AT LEAST TWO PEOPLE PER GROUP unless you hold a valid Canadian Firearms license.
Given the choices in ammunition and firearms, your cost will vary. Budget between $75-$125 per adult per visit.
No. We welcome spectators! There is no cost to watch, however, if you wish to go into the shooting bay to take pictures or interact, you will have to fill out a waiver and wear PPE.
To ensure your safety and to provide you the best experience, you should be wearing comfortable clothing with closed toe shoes and shirts that cover your front. Remember: You are trying to keep HOT brass from touching your skin!
If you have a valid Canadian Firearms license, you may bring your own firearms and ammunition. If you are using range firearms, then you must use our range ammunition.
We take reservations for groups of 6 people or more. If you are a VIP member or have a group of over six shooters, you can reserve. Please contact Events@TheShootingEdge.com
Yes! Gift certificates are available in any denomination.
No photos or video within the retail store is authorized. However, you can take pictures and videos from your experience in the ranges. Read carefully the details which are outlined in the waiver.
Absolutely! The Shooting Edge considers a group to be AT LEAST 6 PEOPLE. We routinely host groups such as stags, corporate parties, or welcome any other reason to get together and blow off some steam in a fun, safe place. We can do this during and after our normal operating hours. However, since we require extra staff to provide you with proper service and safety (and to avoid over-booking), please book as far in advance as possible.
